We-love-you tray liner

You will need:
Measuring tape or ruler
Pencil
2 sheets of cardboard (not too stiff)
1 sheet of plain paper in a colour to compliment the cardboard
Scissors
Glue stick
Pen
Adhesive plastic ( contact plastic)
Get started:
Measure the inside of mum’s favourite tray and draw the shape with pencil onto 1 of the pieces of cardboard. Carefully cut out and use as your base.
Cut the second piece of cardboard out in the same shape, but make it slightly smaller, so when you glue it onto the bottom layer, it leaves a border. Cut out shapes and patterns along the border of the second piece of paper, if you prefer.
Cut out similar shapes of the plain paper and have each member of the family write mom a special message. Stick the messages onto the tray liner with glue stick and use any off cuts of paper or cardboard to decorate the tray liner further. When you’re done, carefully peel back the paper layer of the adhesive plastic and lay it on a smooth surface. Slowly stick the tray liner (with the decorated side facing down onto the plastic and rub the surface to ensure a smooth finish. Turn the liner over and carefully cut along the edges to neaten.
These are perfect to keep the kids busy, and they can maybe even make more to give to other important mum’s in their lives, like grandmum!
Personalized tea box

You will need:
Small empty tea box
Glue stick
1 large sheet of coloured paper
Scissors
Washing pegs
Ribbon (optional)
Get started:
Carefully open the tea box, carefully separating the sides without tearing. Smear glue on the printed side of the open box and stick onto the back of the coloured paper. Rub the surface to ensure that the paper is properly glued to the box and allow to dry. Carefully cut the box to size again and fold to its original shape. Glue the sides back together. Secure the glued sides with washing pegs while the box is left for the glue to dry. Once dry, remove the pegs and fold sides of the box to close. Tie a piece of ribbon around the lid of the box and make two knots to form a loop (handle). Fill the box with bags of mum’s favourite tea.
